Qimo 4 Kids – Michael and Michelle Hall
This month on the Open Gaming Now podcast we have a video interview of Michael and Michelle Hall of the Qimo project. Qimo is desktop operating system designed for kids (3+) that delivers a engaging and intuitive computing experience. Packed with a multitude of games and educational software it is perfect for the kids in your life. It uses games to engage, entertain and kids learn without the tedium. Games are a unique way to educated and the Qimo project illustrates this quite well. FOSS games such as GCompris, Childsplay, Etoys, Tuxpaint, TuxType and TuxMath allow for a variety of fun learning experiences. Qimo is a perfect example of impactful innovation in the FOSS world. Download it for the kids in your life and see for yourself.
The Qimo project is looking for additional contributors, donations, sponsors to aid its ongoing efforts. Michael and Michelle Hall also work on bringing computers to special needs and low-income children through non-profit QuinnCo. Hardware and financial donations to QinnCo are much appreciated. Personally I applaud Michael and Michelle for their laudable efforts and I encourage you all to support them.
