In this monthly podcast/vidcast we will highlight and explore the many projects, issues and technologies surrounding open source games and gaming. Our effort is to bring more limelight to the truly amazing work coming from our FOSS video gaming community. In this world of traditional media, where commercial game companies have million dollar budgets for Marketing/PR, FOSS games don’t get the attention they deserve. We hope to be an additional voice for these great projects to promote and improve the world for FOSS gaming. Please help us spread these great project far and wide by getting involved. Our primary goals are:
- Promote FOSS games and gaming in all form.
- Promote FOSS platforms.
- Elucidate the value and contributions of FOSS games and gaming
- Explore the issues of gaming from all angles such as it’s applications to educational environments, training, simulation and its general societal contribution.
- Improve gaming on FOSS platforms by engaging the commercial industry (hardware/commercial game entities.)
- Highlight the many commercial companies that support our community.
